orva and Everyman Compared

This comparison sets out only publicly available information from both providers, retrieved on 21 October 2026. It does not assess medical quality or how well a treatment works. Prices and terms can change, so the provider's current information always takes precedence. orva is itself one of the two providers compared here. For that reason we have only included facts that can be backed up with a linked source, and no reviews, success rates or testimonials.

How getting started works

At orva you answer questions online about your hair, your health and your starting point, and upload photos. ^[7] According to orva, a licensed Swiss doctor reviews every request individually, usually within 1 to 2 working days. ^[11] If a treatment is medically suitable, you choose between a subscription with an individually compounded formula and an original prescription for a ready-made medicine, which you fill at a pharmacy of your choice. ^{[8] [9]}

Everyman describes a questionnaire of about three minutes. According to its offer page, a Swiss doctor then reviews the answers and recommends a treatment. Its FAQ says treatments are reviewed and prescribed by doctors licensed in Switzerland, including FMH-certified specialists. ^[1] Everyman does not state a processing time on the pages we checked. According to its terms, Everyman also offers an original prescription to fill at a pharmacy of your choice. ^[3]

With both providers, the contract terms say there is no right to a prescription. Whether a treatment is prescribed is the doctor's decision. ^{[3] [9]} The guide to treating hair loss online explains in detail how an online consultation works.

What the public prices tell you and what they do not

orva shows its costs in two parts. The medical initial assessment costs a one-off CHF 99. If a treatment is prescribed, you pay for a 3, 6 or 12-month subscription in advance. For your first subscription, CHF 29, 49 or 99 is credited. The first payment is therefore from CHF 250, 460 or 880, followed by regular prices from CHF 93, 85 or 82 per month. If the doctor prescribes a larger quantity, the price is higher. ^[7]

Everyman states a price from CHF 3.39 per day and notes that this is the price on the 12-month plan with the 3-in-1 capsule. Its FAQ also mentions a price from CHF 94.90 per month. ^[1] Another offer page states from CHF 2.50 per application. ^[2] According to the offer page, everything is included in the monthly price. ^[1] The terms also mention a fee for the medical consultation that is specified in more detail on the platform. The pages we checked do not state its amount. ^[3]

The figures are therefore not directly comparable. They refer to different products, and Everyman calculates per day while orva calculates per month. Support during treatment

At orva, questions to your doctor in the portal are included while your subscription is running. A medical progress check based on your photos follows after 3, 6 and 12 months and then once a year. If progress is not on track, the doctor can adjust the treatment. There is a support chat for non-medical questions. Without a subscription, a question to a doctor costs CHF 39 and each further progress check CHF 59. ^[8]

On its offer page, Everyman lists unlimited advice, a 1:1 chat and free treatment adjustments as often as you like. ^[1] Another page mentions a free expert call and contact via WhatsApp. ^[2]

Everyman also offers a service guarantee. According to its guarantee terms, if you are not satisfied with the medical advice after 180 days, you can reclaim the consultation fee between day 180 and day 210, once only and only for your first purchase. Medicines are excluded. ^[5] orva does not offer a guarantee of this kind. According to its terms of use, there is no general right of return or withdrawal. ^[9]

Delivery and compounding

At orva, Swiss pharmacies compound the topical formula individually. The partner pharmacy delivers every three months in neutral packaging that gives no hint of the contents. If treatment is suitable, delivery usually arrives within 3 to 7 working days. ^[12] According to the terms of use, shipping and packaging costs for deliveries within Switzerland are included in the subscription price. ^[9] An original prescription sent by post usually arrives within 7 working days. ^[8]

According to its offer page, Everyman delivers through a Swiss partner pharmacy, free and discreetly. Another page mentions a delivery time of 2 to 3 days and a delivery every three months, also on 6 or 12-month plans. ^{[1] [2]} The privacy policy currently names Apotheke Dr. Noyer AG and MediService AG as pharmacies. ^[4] According to its terms, the pharmacy may charge an additional fee for packaging and shipping. ^[3]

Cancellation and contract terms

At orva you can cancel your subscription at any time, effective at the end of the term you have already paid for, through your account or by email. The terms of use do not state a notice period. Without cancellation, the subscription renews for the agreed billing period. ^[9]

On its offer page, Everyman says an order can be cancelled or paused at any time. Its terms add detail. On a plan with a minimum term, cancellation takes effect at the end of that term at the earliest. It must arrive at least three working days before the next billing date. After the minimum term, the plan renews for one delivery period at a time. ^{[1] [3]}

With both providers, the treatment contract is concluded directly with the doctor and the pharmacy, and the platform itself provides no medical or pharmaceutical services. Both state the free choice of pharmacy and neither bills through basic health insurance. ^{[3] [9]}

Data protection and where data is stored

Both providers list their service providers in their privacy policy, and both use services with links to the USA. orva gives the server location for every service provider. The database and file storage run on Supabase in Zurich and website hosting on Vercel in Frankfurt, both companies based in the USA. For payments, email delivery, web analytics and ad measurement by Meta, Microsoft, TikTok and X, orva lists locations in Ireland, the United Kingdom and the USA, with ad measurement only after consent. orva itself points out that access by foreign authorities cannot be fully ruled out with internationally active providers. ^[10]

Everyman writes that data is processed mainly in Europe, but in exceptional cases in any country in the world. Among the services that process data in the USA, its privacy policy lists identity verification, payments, hosting, customer communication, support, and advertising and analytics services. The full list of processors is linked as a separate document. ^[4]

Both rely on contractual safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for transfers to countries without an adequate level of data protection. ^{[4] [10]} How much the location of your health data matters to you is your call. The privacy policies are the most reliable source for this.

How to decide for yourself

Comparing websites does not replace a medical assessment and says nothing about how you personally will respond to a treatment. Before you pay, check four things. What are the first payment and the follow-on price for your term? How does cancellation work? Who supports you with questions, and how? Where is your data stored?
